Late last night Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.
The discussion focussed on international politics, with a detailed exchange on the situation in Ukraine, specifically in the context of the talks Vladimir Putin had on the same day with the President of Switzerland, Chairperson-in-Office of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe ( OSCE) Didier Burkhalter.
The President also congratulated the Security Council members on the coming Victory Day.
Taking part in the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev and permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov.
