Vladimir Putin held a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.
The main subjects on the agenda were the relevant agencies’ work to combat illegal logging and poaching.
Current economic development matters, in particular, the situation in the processing sectors, were also discussed.
The meeting also looked at current international affairs.
Taking part in the meeting were State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov, and Foreign Intelligence Service Director Mikhail Fradkov.
