Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council.
The participants exchanged views on measures to minimise any negative consequences the migrant crisis currently unfolding in Europe might have for Russia. Current issues on the domestic and international agendas were also discussed.
Taking part in the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev, and permanent member of the Security Council Boris Gryzlov.
