Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council
The meeting participants discussed the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the efforts Russia is undertaking these days to facilitate it.
Current domestic and international issues were also discussed with a special focus on the creation of the National Guard.
The meeting was attended by Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Minister of the Interior Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov, and Foreign Intelligence Service Director Mikhail Fradkov.
