Changes in the composition of the Security Council

Vladimir Putin signed an Executive Order changing the composition of the Russian Federation’s Security Council.

Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino has been included in the Security Council as a permanent member.

Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian Federal District Sergei Menyailo; Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Rashid Nurgaliyev; and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Northwestern Federal District Nikolai Tsukanov have been included in the Security Council as members.

The names and positions of the following members have been revised and updated: Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Oleg Belaventsev; Head of the Federal Customs Service Vladimir Bulavin; and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.

Rashid Nurgaliyev has been excluded from the permanent Security Council members, and Sergei Melikov and Nikolai Rogozhkin have been excluded from the Security Council members.

The Executive Order comes into force from the date of its signing.
