Vladimir Putin chaired a working meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.
Meeting participants discussed current issues of Russia’s socioeconomic development.
They also condemned the April 20 attack on police officers in Paris and expressed condolences to the French people, pointing out that there is no alternative to international cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
The discussion also covered the struggle against cybercrime and international and regional matters, including Syria.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov and Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin.
