Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council.
The meeting participants discussed the ongoing operation of the Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria in the context of international developments and exchanged opinions on other regional problems.
Issues on the socioeconomic agenda were also discussed.
Attending the meeting were State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov and Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin.
