Vladimir Putin met with permanent members of the Security Council.
The participants discussed various aspects of the President’s upcoming international meetings in Vladivostok, in particular with President of the Republic of Korea Park Gyeun-hye and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, as well as preparations for the Eastern Economic Forum and the current situation in Russia.
The participants also exchanged views on the results of Russian-American talks in Geneva last week.
Taking part in the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mikhail Fradkov, and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
