Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council.
The meeting participants discussed the situation in Syria and exchanged opinions on Ukraine, agreeing that there is no alternative to the complete implementation of the Minsk Agreements.
They also discussed the President’s planned international contacts on issues pertaining to the CSTO and in light of his upcoming visit to India, as well as current issues on the domestic socioeconomic agenda.
Taking part in the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
