Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council.
The meeting participants discussed the Syrian armed forces’ progress in eastern Aleppo and in freeing city districts from terrorists.
They also had a detailed exchange of views on a number of matters concerning Russian media outlets’ information presence abroad.
Preparations for the Annual Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly on December 1 were another item on the agenda.
Taking part in the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
