Vladimir Putin held a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.
The meeting participants had a detailed discussion of various aspects of the Syrian settlement as well as current issues on the domestic socioeconomic agenda.
The President congratulated the permanent members of the Security Council on the upcoming New Year and thanked them for their work.
Attending the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
