Vladimir Putin held a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council to discuss current international problems and various issues on the domestic agenda.
The President also congratulated the meeting participants on the Defender of the Fatherland Day.
Attending the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
