Vladimir Putin held a meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.
The Security Council members exchanged opinions on various aspects of Russian-Belarusian allied relations ahead of the working visit by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko scheduled for next Wednesday, February 13, and his talks with Vladimir Putin.
The meeting participants also discussed the situation in Syria in the context of the upcoming summit of the leaders of Russia, Turkey and Iran on February 14.
The agenda also covered current issues of the domestic socioeconomic agenda.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
