Vladimir Putin held a briefing meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.
The President informed the participants about his recent talks with Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK Kim Jong-un and about a series of international contacts during his working visit to China. The discussion also focused on the developments in Venezuela.
In addition, the participants exchanged views on current issues of the domestic political agenda.
The meeting was attended by Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
