Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council.
The meeting participants discussed the situation in Idlib, Syria. In particular, concern was expressed over the ongoing attacks by terrorist fighters.
The President informed the participants about his bilateral contacts on the sidelines of the EAEU summit in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
The participants also exchanged views on the topic of artificial intelligence technology in the follow-up to the May 30 meeting.
Current matters on the domestic socioeconomic agenda were also discussed.
Attending the meeting were Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
