Vladimir Putin met with permanent members of the Security Council.
The head of state briefed participants in the meeting on his contacts in France, including his talks with President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron.
The participants also discussed socioeconomic issues in Russia.
In addition, the President congratulated permanent members of the Security Council on the 25th anniversary of its founding marked on June 3.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
