Vladimir Putin and Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel took part in the St Petersburg International Economic Forum’s plenary session.

Vladimir Putin met with members of the Russian Direct Investment Fund international expert council and heads of major infrastructure funds.

Vladimir Putin met with representatives of the Business 20 Summit, an international business forum with the participation of companies and business associations from G20 member states and partner countries, as well as leading international governmental and commercial organisations.

The G8 leaders will focus on problems in the global economy and the situation in Syria.

Vladimir Putin will open the forum’s plenary session and meet with participants of the G20 Business and Youth Summits, being held within the framework of the forum. In addition, the President of Russia plans to meet with the heads of major foreign investment funds and the heads of leading energy companies, as well as winners of the Global Energy prize.

Ahead of the G8 summit in Great Britain and the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Vladimir Putin answered questions from Russian News & Information Agency.

Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan on Settling the Republic of Kyrgyzstan’s Debt to the Russian Federation under Earlier Accorded Loans.

Vladimir Putin signed Federal Laws On Banning Certain Categories of Individuals from Opening and operating Accounts (Deposits), Keeping Money and Valuables in Foreign Banks Located outside Russian Federation Territory, and Owning and (or) Using Foreign Financial Instruments, and On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation following the Adoption of the Federal Law On Banning Certain Categories of Individuals from Opening and Operating Accounts (Deposits), Keeping Money and Valuables in Foreign Banks Located outside Russian Federation Territory, and Owning and (or) Using Foreign Financial Instruments, and Federal Constitutional Law On Amendments to Article 11 of the Federal Constitutional Law On the Russian Federation Government.
