Dmitry Medvedev made a telephone call to Prime Minister of Norway Jens Stoltenberg to once again express his condolences to Prime Minister and King of Norway, and his solidarity with the people of the country.

Dmitry Medvedev expressed his condolences to King Harald V of Norway and Prime Minister of Norway Jens Stoltenberg in connection with the tragic events in the country.

Dmitry Medvedev said the signing of the Russian-Norwegian Treaty on Maritime Delimitation and Cooperation in the Barents Sea and the Arctic Ocean is a historic event that will influence the general situation in the region, strengthening international and regional security and intensifying cooperation between the Arctic countries.

On September 15, 2010, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Norway Jens Stoltenberg will arrive in Murmansk where his talks with President Medvedev will take place.

During the talks the parties reached a preliminary agreement on maritime delimitation and their countries' cooperation in the Barents Sea and Arctic Ocean.
