Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the country’s national holiday, Republic Day.

After the military parade in Red Square, Vladimir Putin and the heads of foreign states and governments who arrived in Moscow to celebrate the 70^th anniversary of Victory, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Alexander Garden and paid tribute to the war victims with a moment of silence.

While on a working visit to Belarus, Vladimir Putin took part in the summit of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The summit’s agenda focused on developing multilateral economic, humanitarian and law enforcement cooperation. A number of joint agreements are expected to be signed following the talks.
