During the meeting, the President announced that he accepted the resignation of Tula Region Governor Vladimir Gruzdev and appointed former Deputy Defence Minister Alexei Dyumin Acting Governor of Tula Region.

The President signed Executive Order On Early Termination of Mandate of Tula Region Governor.

Presidential Aide Igor Levitin chaired a meeting of the working group for monitoring implementation of decisions by the State Council and its Presidium on the execution of the President’s instructions to increase the regions’ economic sustainability and financial security.

The head of Tula Region briefed the President on the region’s socioeconomic situation.

Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov and Tula Region Governor Vladimir Gruzdev reported to Vladimir Putin on the impact of the tornado that struck the region, the measures taken to assist the public and disaster relief efforts.

Mr Gruzdev briefed Vladimir Putin on the socio-economic situation in the region.
