Vladimir Putin congratulated Vladimir Lukin, president of the Russian Paralympic Committee, on his 80^th birthday.

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Magomedsalam Magomedov chaired the first meeting of the Presidential working group on implementing the research and publication project Russian State Acts. Russian State and Corporate Archives of the 13^th-17^th centuries.

Vladimir Lukin presented Vladimir Putin with a report on his work as Russia’s Human Rights Commissioner in 2013. 

On Ukraine’s initiative, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Viktor Yanukovych who suggested that the Russian President send a representative to Kiev to act as a mediator in negotiations with the opposition.

Vladimir Putin met with Russian Human Rights Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin and Chairperson of the Presidium of the Civil Dignity national public movement Ella Pamfilova.

Vladimir Putin discussed issues of cooperation with NGOs together with Russian Human Rights Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin, Chairman of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights Mikhail Fedotov, and Chairperson of the Presidium of the Civil Dignity national public movement Ella Pamfilova.

Vladimir Putin had a meeting with Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko and Russian Human Rights Ombudsman and President of the Paralympic Committee Vladimir Lukin. The agenda included the development of the Paralympic movement.

The meeting, which was held ahead of International Human Rights Day, addressed current issues related to defending citizens’ rights and freedoms.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting with human rights ombudspersons from over 60 Russian regions.

Vladimir Putin had a meeting with Chairman of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights Mikhail Fedotov, Human Rights Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin and Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights Boris Titov.

Mr Lukin briefed Vladimir Putin on the work of human rights ombudspersons in the regions.

The Ombudsman reported to Dmitry Medvedev on the number of complaints regarding human rights violations in 2011.

Mr Lukin presented to Dmitry Medvedev his report on the state of human rights in Russia in 2010.

Dmitry Medvedev met with High Commissioner for Human Rights Navanethem Pillay.
