Mr Sobyanin briefed Dmitry Medvedev on the results of implementing presidential anti-corruption instructions, and on the progress of work to address Moscow’s traffic jams. 

Dmitry Medvedev emphasised that the success of other important tasks depends on improving traffic conditions in the capital.

In his speech at the inauguration ceremony, the President wished Sergei Sobyanin success in his position as Moscow Mayor, stressing that the job of the Russian capital’s head was a major responsibility.

Dmitry Medvedev announced this during a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Government Chief of Staff Sergei Sobyanin.

The President instructed First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Vladislav Surkov to notify the United Russia General Council’s Presidium accordingly.
