Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) personnel on the agency’s 90^th anniversary, presented its head, Mikhail Fradkov, with the Honorary Certificate of the Commander in Chief, and presented state decorations to a number of SVR officers. 

Following a meeting of the Commission for Economic Modernisation and Technological Development of Russia’s Economy of June 19, 2010, Russian space agency Roskosmos, the Economic Development Ministry, and the relevant federal executive authorities were instructed to draft proposals on expanding commercial use of the GLONASS system abroad, including by developing a network of joint enterprises with foreign partners.

Summit talks will be held on December 20, 2010 in the Kremlin.

Summit participants discussed the outcomes of Russia’s presidency of the Commonwealth and identified priorities for the upcoming year.

Heads of the CSTO member states discussed the results of work in 2010. Raising the effectiveness of crisis-response mechanisms and strengthening the security of member countries and the region in general were the main subjects of attention.

Following Dmitry Medvedev’s talks with Mr Nazarbayev, the two presidents signed the Joint Action Plan for 2011–2012.

Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law introducing amendments to Federal Law On Assemblies, Rallies, Demonstrations, Processions and Picketing.

The presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan adopted the Declaration on Forming the Common Economic Space.

In particular, the laws determine the amount of compensation for various types of insurance, the procedure for paying compensation to people with disabilities for the purchase of equipment required for rehabilitation and services, and the procedure for providing health resort treatments to certain categories of citizens.

Ms Golikova briefed Dmitry Medvedev on the ministry’s efforts towards realisation of the goals set out in the Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly.
