The summit concluded with the adoption of a joint message from the CIS heads of state to war veterans and those who toiled on the home front on the 65^th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

G8 leaders made a joint statement on the 65th anniversary of victory in the Second World War.

The summit adopted two joint documents: a statement by the CSTO member states on the situation in Kyrgyzstan, and a statement by the member states regarding the conclusion of the Russian-US Treaty on Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Weapons.

Dmitry Medvedev sent his condolences to the family of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Director of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research Alexei Sissakian, following the renowned scientist's death.

Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Russian Federation Criminal Code with regard to Penalties in the Form of Compulsory Labour.

The law, which affects education, healthcare, social services, and culture, has already been passed by the State Duma in its third reading and elicited debate within society.
