Vladimir Putin held a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council.
The participants discussed, in particular, the developments in Syria, noting the need for Russia to continue its active efforts to provide humanitarian relief to the residents of east Aleppo.
In addition, they discussed a number of issues related to the implementation of the main provisions of the Presidential Address to the Federal Assembly.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Minister of the Interior Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, and Special Presidential Representative on Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
