Participants in the meeting discussed the attack on the National Guard in the Chechen Republic.
The agenda also included an update on the socioeconomic situation, and current international issues.
Attending the meeting were Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
