The discussion focused on pressing issues on the domestic agenda.
The President updated the meeting participants on the details of his numerous contacts on the sidelines of the recent Russia-Africa Summit.
They also had a comprehensive exchange of opinions on the implementation of the Memorandum agreed on by the presidents of Russia and Turkey on the situation in Syria.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, and Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
