Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Ratification of Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on the Joint Construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in the Republic of Turkey.

Dmitry Medvedev received letters of credence from 13 new ambassadors to the Russian Federation. 

Dmitry Medvedev thanked the Turkish leadership and people for their help and support in the disaster relief efforts in Russia.

Mr Medvedev and Mr Erdogan discussed Russian-Turkish relations, in particular the implementation of agreements reached during Mr Medvedev’s visit to Turkey in May 2010.

Dmitry Medvedev and President of Turkey Abdullah Gul took part in Russian-Turkish Business Forum.

The meeting was held within the framework of the official visit of the Russian President in Ankara.

The declaration on the council’s creation was signed today by Dmitry Medvedev and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Dmitry Medvedev and Turkish President Abdullah Gul discussed trade and economic cooperation, joint efforts to fight extremism and terrorism, the situation in the Southern Caucasus, the Iranian nuclear programme, the Middle East peace process, and cooperation in the Black Sea region. 

Dmitry Medvedev will make a state visit to Turkey on May 11–12, 2010 at the invitation of Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
