Vladimir Putin met with Russian human rights activists, representatives of several non-governmental and non-profit human rights organisations, as well as the human rights commissioners from Russia’s federal districts.

The President submitted to the State Duma draft resolutions On Declaring Amnesty in Connection with the 20^th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Russian Federation’s Constitution and On the Order of Executing the Resolution of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Declaring Amnesty in Connection with the 20^th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Russian Federation’s Constitution.

Vladimir Putin discussed the declaration of an amnesty to mark the 20^th anniversary of Russia’s Constitution at a meeting with Presidential Adviser and Chairman of the Council for Civil Society and Human Rights Mikhail Fedotov and Human Rights Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin.

Vladimir Putin signed the order on providing state support in 2013 for non-commercial, non-governmental organisations involved in developing civil society institutions, carrying out socially important projects and protecting human rights and freedoms.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights. 

The meeting addressed the draft regulation On the State System for Testing Foreign Citizens.

Vladimir Putin discussed issues of cooperation with NGOs together with Russian Human Rights Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin, Chairman of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights Mikhail Fedotov, and Chairperson of the Presidium of the Civil Dignity national public movement Ella Pamfilova.
