Talks between Dmitry Medvedev, Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and President of France Nicolas Sarkozy were held in Deauville, France. This is the first trilateral meeting of the leaders of Russia, France and Germany in five years.

The main topic of the meeting between Dmitry Medvedev, President of France Nicolas Sarkozy, and Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel will be building a system of an equal and indivisible security in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian regions that will allow for a collective response to common challenges and threats.

Dmitry Medvedev and Nursultan Nazarbayev exchanged views on current aspects of bilateral cooperation, including joint efforts on the international and regional agenda.
