Opportunities for developing the two countries’ partnership in the humanitarian sector and science, and in education and culture were also discussed.

Foreign economic policy and its role in the country's technological modernisation and innovative development were discussed at the meeting of the Commission, which took place on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.
