Vladimir Putin visited the Primorye Oceanarium of the Far Eastern branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister – Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev, Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov and Governor of Primorye Territory Vladimir Miklushevsky to discuss the situation in certain regions of the Far East affected by floods.

Yesterday evening Vladimir Putin visited one of the buildings of the Far Eastern Federal University, where he toured the exhibition of priority development areas and Vladivostok Free Port.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting on developing shipbuilding as part of his visit to the Zvezda shipyard. The meeting’s agenda focused on the development of the shipbuilding industry in the Russian Far East, as well as the programme to provide social infrastructure for the company’s employees.

During a working trip to Primorye Territory, Vladimir Putin visited the Zvezda shipyard, the backbone enterprise in Bolshoi Kamen.

Vladimir Putin visited Gymnasium No. 2 in Vladivostok, where he congratulated students and teachers on Knowledge Day, looked around several classrooms and teachers’ offices, and talked with senior formers.

Mr Miklushevsky briefed Vladimir Putin on work to establish the priority development areas in the region, implement major cultural projects, and measures to support wage levels in the region.

While on a working trip in the Far East Federal District, Vladimir Putin visited the Vladivostok branch of the Nakhimov Naval Academy – the Vladivostok Presidential Cadet School.

Vladimir Putin met with Acting Governor of Trans-Baikal Territory Natalia Zhdanova to discuss the socioeconomic situation in the region, in particular, the Trans-Baikal Territory comprehensive development plan.

The Governor updated the President on the development of the transport infrastructure in Rostov Region and the construction of an airport and other facilities for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

While on a working trip to the Altai Territory, Vladimir Putin chaired a meeting of the State Presidium Council on measures to enhance the investment appeal of the health resort sector in Russia.

Vladimir Putin met with Acting Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov late on Thursday night.

Mr Vorobyev briefed Vladimir Putin on the socioeconomic situation in the region and the development of the agriculture sector and industry. Issues regarding data in the State Forestry Register and State Real Estate Cadastre were also discussed.
