Vladimir Putin sent his condolences to President of China Xi Jinping following the earthquake in Sichuan province which resulted in numerous casualties.

Vladimir Putin and President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony for the Year of Chinese Tourism in Russia at the State Kremlin Palace.

Vladimir Putin met at the Kremlin with President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, who is in Russia on a state visit.

In a telephone conversation Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated Xi Jinping on being elected President of the People's Republic of China and wished him success in his work in such a demanding government post.
