Alexander Brechalov has been appointed Acting Head of Udmurtia.

The President signed the Executive Order On the Early Termination of the Term of Office of the Head of Udmurtia.

Mr Solovyev briefed the President on the social and economic situation in the region.

Vladimir Putin met with the head of the Republic of Udmurtia to discuss the region’s performance in 2013, including issues pertaining to demography and housing construction.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting on progress in the implementation of the State Armament Programme for 2011–2020 for Equipping the Ground Forces with Weapons and Special Equipment.

Vladimir Putin visited the Kalashnikov Corporate Group, which produces 95% of Russia’s small arms.

Mr Putin will visit the Kalashnikov Concern in Izhevsk, where he will view the latest firearms models and see some of the stages of the production process. 

Vladimir Putin and Alexander Volkov discussed the region’s socioeconomic situation.

Dmitry Medvedev had working meetings with head of the Republic of Udmurtia Alexander Volkov and St Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko.

Dmitry Medvedev ordered an investigation into the fire at a Defence Ministry arms depot in Udmurtia which set off explosions of ammunition stocks, and called for those responsible for the situation to be identified and made to answer.

In accordance with the Federal Law On the Police Force, the President issued executive order on appointments to senior Interior Ministry posts.

Mr Volkov briefed President Medvedev on the region’s socioeconomic situation, particularly with regard to the jobs market and addressing unemployment.
