Dmitry Medvedev held a meeting on the development of mass media. The main topics addressed at the meeting included financial support for the media, bridging the technological divide between central and regional media, and implementing nationwide public broadband internet.

Dmitry Medvedev met at the Kremlin with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nong Duc Manh, who is in Moscow on an official visit at the Russian President’s invitation. 

Dmitry Medvedev and Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj discussed current bilateral cooperation issues following on from Mr Medvedev’s visit to Mongolia in August 2009.

Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Viktor Yanukovych on his 60^th birthday and wished him success in his endeavours as President of Ukraine.

The meeting addressed measures for ensuring children’s safety while they vacation at summer camps.

At the meeting of the Presidential Council for the Development of the Information Society in Russia dedicated to assessing interim results and prospects of employing information and communication technologies, Dmitry Medvedev noted that their development and implementation have special relevance in a country like Russia, given its enormous distances.
