Vladimir Putin held a meeting on supplying weapons to the Strategic Nuclear Forces and Aerospace Defence Troops as part of the state armament programme.

Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order on the activities of military councils.

Issues discussed included supplying modern weapons and equipment to the Land Forces and Airborne Troops, objectives for the future, and enhancing research and development in this field.

Current situation and prospects for further development of Russia’s military technology cooperation with foreign states were discussed at the meeting.

Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma for ratification the Protocol on Deployment of Military Infrastructure Facilities on the Territory of Collective Security Treaty Organisation Member States, signed in Moscow on December 20, 2011.
