Dmitry Medvedev submitted to the State Duma for ratification the Agreement on Cooperation between the Collective Security Treaty Organisation Member States on Development, Production, Operation, Maintenance, Modernisation, Service-life Extension and Disposal of Military Goods, signed in Moscow on December 10, 2010.

Dmitry Medvedev presented state decorations to officers of the 626 Missile Regiment for achievements in strengthening national defence and professional excellence.

Implementing the 2012–2014 state defence procurement orders, the defence industry’s development prospects, and improving defence industry organisation and management were the main issues on the agenda at the meeting.

Dmitry Medvedev signed Executive Order On the Withdrawal of the Russian Armed Forces Military Unit Taking Part in the UN Peacekeeping Operation in the Republic of Sudan.

Following the accident on the nuclear submarine Yekaterinburg Dmitry Medvedev continuously received reports from Emergencies Minister Sergei Shoigu and Defence Minister Anatoly Serdyukov on measures taken to put out the fire.

The ceremony formalising the promotion of officers to higher command positions and presenting them with top military (special) ranks took place in the St George Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.

During a working meeting with Dmitry Rogozin, Dmitry Medvedev announced that he has appointed Mr Rogozin Deputy Prime Minister.

During his trip to the Krasnodar Territory, Dmitry Medvedev visited the 393^rd Sevastopol military air base in Korenovsk and viewed the new residential area Rainbow, built for the servicemen of the Southern Military

Issues discussed at the meeting with commanders of divisions and units of the Armed Forces, Interior Ministry and the Federal Drug Control Service, involved in strategic Centre-2011 military exercises, included personnel and military reform, and service pay.
