Vladimir Putin met with elected governors of the Russian regions – the heads of the Republic of Khakassia, Primorye and Khabarovsk territories, Vladimir Region and the Nenets Autonomous Area. The participants reviewed the election campaign and plans for the further development of the regions.

The President signed the Executive Order On the Acting Governor of the Primorye Territory.

The socioeconomic situation in the Sakhalin Region was discussed. The President announced his decision to appoint Oleg Kozhemyako Acting Governor of the Primorye Territory.

The Sakhalin Region Governor briefed the President on the socioeconomic situation in the region.

Mr Kozhemyako briefed the President on the region’s development in 2016 and current socioeconomic figures.

The President signed an executive order on measures to implement government scientific and technical policy on agricultural development.

Mr Kozhemyako briefed Vladimir Putin on the region’s socioeconomic situation and key lines of development over the next five years. Organisation of the coastal fishing industry was also on the agenda.

Presidential Aide and Secretary of the State Council Igor Levitin held the second meeting of the State Council Presidium’s working group on developing Russia’s fisheries sector.

Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Oleg Kozhemyako and Alexander Kozlov.

In the course of his trip to Amur Region, Vladimir Putin visited the village of Volkovo in Blagoveshchensk District, where new housing is being built for the victims of the 2013 flood.

Meeting participants included Amur Region Governor Oleg Kozhemyako, Belgorod Region Governor Yevgeny Savchenko, Bryansk Region Governor Nikolai Denin, Novgorod Region Governor Sergei Mitin, Ryazan Region Governor Oleg Kovalev and First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Vyacheslav Volodin.

The socio-economic situation in the region was discussed at the meeting.

Mr Kozhemyako briefed the President on the social and economic situation in the region in general and on the situation in the region’s higher and vocational education sectors.
