Vladimir Putin held talks in Novo-Ogaryovo with President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who is in Russia on an official visit.

On November 2, Vladimir Putin will hold talks with the President of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who is arriving in Moscow on an official visit.

The President received letters of credence from 17 newly-appointed ambassadors of foreign states. As per tradition, the ceremony took place in the Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace.

Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investment.

Dmitry Medvedev received letters of credence from eleven new ambassadors to the Russian Federation from Argentina, Burundi, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, India, Rwanda, El Salvador, Vatican, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia and Japan.

The subjects discussed at the talks with Equatorial Guinea’s President, who is also Chairman of the African Union, included bilateral trade and economic cooperation, energy sector relations, and scientific and technical cooperation.

Talks between President Medvedev and President of Equatorial Guinea and Chairperson of the African Union Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo will take place in Moscow.
