Vladimir Putin held a meeting on Ingushetia’s socioeconomic development in the regional capital, Magas.

Vladimir Putin arrived in Magas, where he will hold a meeting on Ingushetia’s social and economic development. Before the start of the meeting, he had a working meeting with Head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.

Vladimir Putin made a working trip to the Republic of Khakassia, where he inspected new housing in the village of Krasnopolye for people who lost their homes in wildfires in April. The President looked over one of the houses and spoke with local people.

Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov took part in a discussion on the subject Sustainable Development: Business and Preserving Biodiversity, which was part of the Eastern Economic Forum. On the forum’s sidelines, Mr Ivanov also visited the exhibition The Far East: the Land of Wild Nature.

Vladimir Putin visited an Oceanarium on Russky Island together with Governor of Primorye Territory Vladimir Miklushevsky, Vice Premier of the Chinese State Council Wang Yang, members of the Chinese delegation, and US actor Steven Seagal.

Vladimir Putin had a brief meeting with Vice Premier of the People’s Republic of China State Council Wang Yang, who represented China at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.

Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov and Governor of Primorye Territory Vladimir Miklushevsky briefed the President on the situation in Ussuriysk following floods in the region.

Vladimir Putin took part in the first Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. The current situation in the Russian economy and the Far East region’s investment attractiveness were the main subjects of the President’s address.

In the capital of Primorye, the President will take part in the first Eastern Economic Forum and meet with oil and gas industry representatives. He will also meet with China’s Vice Premier Wang Yang who is taking part in Forum events.

Vladimir Putin laid a wreath at the Memorial to the Battle and Labour Glory of the People of Trans-Baikal. President also spoke with city residents and veterans.

The President met with students of the Sirius educational centre for gifted children, which was established at the President’s initiative using the Sochi Olympic infrastructure.

Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Head of the Republic of Kalmykia Alexei Orlov to discuss, among other things, the development of water system in the republic, which has been suffering from droughts for the past few years.
