Vladimir Putin was briefed on the ongoing rescue operation at the Mir mine in Yakutia and the situation in the Far Eastern areas affected by floods.

The Acting Governor of the Kirov Region briefed the President on the socioeconomic situation in the region.

The President chaired a meeting of the Presidential Council for the Local Self-Government Development.

The President visited Polyclinic No. 1 of the Kirov Clinical Diagnostic Centre as part of his working trip to the Kirov Region. The facility has been participating in the Economical Polyclinic pilot federal project since April 2017. The project aims at increasing accessibility and quality of medical services.

Acting Head of the Republic of Buryatia Alexei Tsydenov reported to the President on the region’s socioeconomic development. The discussion also focused on the questions asked by Buryatia residents during Direct Line with Vladimir Putin.

The President held a meeting on disaster relief measures following wildfires in April 2017, which damaged a number of towns and villages in Buryatia and the Irkutsk Region. The meeting participants discussed the progress in reconstruction work and compensation payments to the wildfire victims.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting on topical issues of the Lake Baikal conservation and environmental development of the Baikal natural area.

During his working trip to Buryatia, Vladimir Putin visited the Baikal State Nature Biosphere Reserve.

Mr Kozlov briefed the President on the region’s socioeconomic situation. The discussion also focused on the complaints and requests sent in by local residents to the head of state during the Direct Line.

At the Nizhne-Bureiskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant, Vladimir Putin held a meeting on implementing major investment projects in the Far East.

Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Head of the Republic of Kalmykia Alexei Orlov.

Vladimir Putin completed his working trip to Karelia with a visit to an open-air sports centre with training equipment installed on the Lake Onega embankment in Petrozavodsk.

The President had a working meeting with acting head of the region Artur Parfenchikov.

Vladimir Putin chaired a meeting in Petrozavodsk of the Supervisory Board of the autonomous non-commercial organisation Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects.

Vladimir Putin began his working trip to Karelia with a visit to the IT Park at Petrozavodsk State University, where he viewed an exhibition of projects carried out with support from the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).

At the end of his trip to Yoshkar-Ola, Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Acting Head of the Mari El Republic Alexander Yevstifeyev.

Vladimir Putin held a meeting of the Council for Interethnic Relations in Yoshkar-Ola. Implementation at regional and municipal level of the State Ethnic Policy Strategy until 2025 was the main item on the agenda.

While on a working trip to Yoshkar-Ola, Vladimir Putin visited the Republic of Mari El Timofei Yevseyev National Museum.

Vladimir Putin met with Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.

During his visit to Belgorod Region, Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Governor Yevgeny Savchenko. Among the topics discussed at the meeting were the questions Belgorod Region residents asked during the Direct Line with Vladimir Putin. The Governor also briefed the President on the implementation of a number of projects in the region.
