Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Governor of the Saratov Region Valery Radayev. The discussion focused on the socioeconomic situation in the region, in particular, in industry, agriculture, education and healthcare, as well as transport infrastructure development.

Mr Radayev briefed Vladimir Putin on the region’s socioeconomic situation and the completion of several major infrastructure projects.

The Governor of Saratov Region briefed the President on the socioeconomic situation in the region.

The meeting addressed measures for stabilising prices on the grain market, issues of organising the sowing of winter crops and steps to increase the competitiveness of the agro-industrial complex following Russia’s accession to the WTO.

The President submitted the candidacy of Valery Radayev for the post of Saratov Region governor for consideration by the Saratov Region Duma.
