Dmitry Medvedev gave an interview to China Central Television (CCTV) ahead of his visit to the People's Republic of China. The interview was recorded on April 7.

Dmitry Medvedev had a brief meeting with Prime Minister of Bavaria Horst Seehofer.

The ceremony, timed to coincide with the 50^th anniversary of the first manned space flight, was attended by Yury Gagarin’s widow Valentina Gagarina and his two daughters, as well as the first Soviet cosmonauts and space engineers, who were at the forefront of Russia’s space industry.

On the Cosmonautics Day Dmitry Medvedev visited the Mission Control Centre in Korolev, Moscow Region. The President inspected the Centre and spoke with the International Space Station crew.

The President signed executive orders on presenting state decorations to space industry employees and veterans. Cosmonauts Oleg Skripochka, Mikhail Korniyenko and Alexander Skvortsov have been awarded the title of Hero of Russia.

This evening, Dmitry Medvedev called President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to express his deep condolences following the tragedy in the Minsk metro, where dozens of people were killed and injured by an explosion.

Dmitry Medvedev and Bronislaw Komorowski paid tribute to the memory of the Smolensk tragedy victims. The heads of state laid wreaths at the monument marking the site of the crash of the Polish presidential plane one year ago.

Dmitry Medvedev visited Smolensk Textile Factory and spoke to workers there during a working visit to Smolensk.

On behalf of Dmitry Medvedev, staff of the Presidential Executive Office Library have donated 1,096 books to Solovetsky School (Arkhangelsk Region), and helped to organise a reading room in the school.

Dmitry Medvedev approved a list of instructions concerning investment programmes in the energy sector, organisation of a natural gas exchange, and antiterrorist protection of fuel and energy sector sites.

Information on the incomes, assets and liabilities of the Presidential Executive Office and Security Council staffs appointed to their posts by the President is published in accordance with Presidential Executive Order No. 561 of May 18, 2009.

The President submitted to tax authorities information on his income, property, bank accounts, securities, liabilities, and information on the assets and income of his family members, his wife Svetlana and son Ilya, for the 2010 calendar year.
