Vladimir Putin congratulated Viktor Nazarov on officially taking office as Governor of Omsk Region.

Vladimir Putin and Magomedsalam Magomedov discussed the socio-economic situation in the region. In particular, the head of Daghestan briefed the President on the implementation of projects to develop the tourist cluster in the North Caucasus, as well as geological and exploration works on the Caspian shelf.

Issues discussed at the meeting included ways to improve legislation on rallies and demonstrations and responsibility for violations in organising and conducting such events.

The President signed Executive Order On the Early Termination of Powers of the Head of the Republic of Karelia.

Vladimir Putin held a videoconference with Primorye Territory Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky and State Secretary and Deputy Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov. The discussion focused on the relief efforts following a fire at an ammunition depot at a military base 280 km from Vladivostok.

Vladimir Putin proposed that Uralvagonzavod assembly shop manager Igor Kholmanskikh become Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Urals Federal District. The previous plenipotentiary envoy, Yevgeny Kuyvashev, was recently appointed acting governor of Sverdlovsk Region.

The President signed Executive Order On Early Termination of the Mandate of Irkutsk Region Governor, and by the same Executive Order appointed Sergei Yeroshenko acting governor of the region.

Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order releasing Yevgeny Kuyvashev from his duties as Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Urals Federal District.
