On April 18–19, 2024, Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova made a working trip to the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Lugansk People’s Republic and the Zaporozhye Region. One of the main goals of her trip was to help the new regions build an effective system of preventing social orphanhood and to support the families in a difficult situation.

The Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights paid a working visit to the Volgograd Region. Maria Lvova-Belova met with Governor Andrei Bocharov, representatives of regional agencies responsible for protecting children’s rights and interests, and also reviewed the work of several children’s social institutions.

The President held a meeting, via video conference, with the Government members.

At the initiative of Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova and with the support of the Tyumen Region government, the 22^nd National Congress of Commissioners for Children's Rights was held in Tyumen on April 3–4, 2024.

The President took part in a ceremony for opening new youth centres in several regions, via videoconference.

Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova made a working trip to the Tambov Region. It was devoted to support for children and families with children.

A ceremony to present the 2023 Presidential prizes for young culture professional and for wiring and art for children and young people took place in the Kremlin’s St Catherine Hall. 

Following Maria Lvova-Belova’s instruction, the Office of the Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights created an emergency group of lawyers to provide targeted assistance to families affected by the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall. Families of the injured can call a special hotline.

With the assistance of Presidential Commissioner for the Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova and through the mediation of Qatar, five more children were reunited with their relatives living in Ukraine. In addition, one teenager who lived in Ukraine was returned to his family in Russia.

Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova has been instrumental in repatriating yet another group of Russian children from refugee camps in the Trans-Euphrates region.

Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Head of Karachayevo-Circassia Rashid Temrezov. The discussion focused on the region’s socioeconomic development.

Vladimir Putin took part, via videoconference, in a ceremony to launch several medical facilities and a project to build SIBUR Holding’s centre for research and scaling of technologies in Tatarstan.

On January 25–26, the Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights made a working trip to the Nenets Autonomous Area. Together with Governor Yury Bezdudny, Maria Lvova-Belova launched the Year of the Family in the region.

At the venue of the Family – Loved Ones All-Russian Family Forum, Vladimir Putin met with the participants and winners of the Family of the Year and This Runs in Our Family contests.
