On July 27, Vladimir Putin will make a working visit to Severomorsk in Murmansk Region to take part in celebrations of Navy Day.

Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Early Termination of the Mandate of Murmansk Region Governor, releasing Marina Kovtun from her duties and appointing her acting governor of the region. 

Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Governor of Murmansk Region Marina Kovtun.

Vladimir Putin visited the Severomorsk naval base of the Northern Fleet, where he presented the Order of Nakhimov to nuclear-powered missile cruiser Pyotr Veliky.

The Governor briefed Vladimir Putin on the socioeconomic situation in the region.

Dmitry Medvedev submitted for consideration by the Murmansk Regional Duma the candidacy of Marina Kovtun for the post of governor of Murmansk Region.

The party leadership submitted to Dmitry Medvedev a list of candidates for the post of Murmansk Region Governor.

Energy supply and ways to improve energy efficiency in the region were the main subjects discussed.

Dmitry Medvedev visited the Apatit mining company’s Vostochny Mine, where he looked over the mining and transport operations control room and met with company employees.

During his working trip to Murmansk, Dmitry Medvedev held a meeting on agricultural and fishing products processing. Supplies by farmers and food pricing were also discussed.

On September 15, 2010 Dmitry Medvedev had a working meeting with Murmansk Region Governor Dmitry Dmitriyenko to discuss the pricing policy for staple foods in the region.
