Dmitry Medvedev signed Executive Order releasing Sergei Naryshkin of his duties as Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office following his election as member of the 6th State Duma.

The event was organised to mark the twentieth anniversary of the CIS and the fifth anniversary of the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund, as well as the end of the CIS Historical and Cultural Heritage Year.

Chief of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Naryshkin chaired a meeting of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Countering Corruption. 

Political, economic, and humanitarian relations between the two countries were the subjects of discussion.
